ECoR GDCE Eligibility Criteria 2026
To apply for ECoR GDCE Recruitment 2026, candidates must be regular employees of East Coast Railway (ECoR), including erstwhile Waltair Division/SCoR, with a valid lien in ECoR. RPF/RPSF staff are not eligible.
Employees who have resigned or transferred out of ECoR are not eligible. Employees working in the same or lower pay level may apply for the notified posts, subject to the required educational qualification.

The ECoR GDCE Recruitment 2026 selection process includes Computer Based Test (CBT), post-specific additional tests, Document Verification and Medical Examination.

Important Selection Details
Negative Marking: 1/3 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer in the CBT. There is no negative marking in CBAT.
Minimum Qualifying Marks: UR – 40%, OBC-NCL – 30%, SC – 30% and ST – 25%. PwBD candidates may get up to 2 marks relaxation where applicable.
Shortlisting: Candidates for CBAT or Typing Skill Test are shortlisted up to 8 times the number of vacancies based on CBT merit.
Final Merit: For ALP, CBT carries 50% and CBAT 50% weightage. For Station Master, CBT carries 70% and CBAT 30% weightage.
Document Verification: Candidates equal to the number of vacancies are called for Document Verification based on merit.
Medical Examination: Final appointment is subject to qualifying the prescribed Medical Fitness Test.
Important Instructions for Candidates
- Only regular ECoR employees with lien in ECoR/erstwhile Waltair Division/SCoR are eligible. RPF/RPSF staff, resigned employees and transferred-out employees are not eligible.
- The candidate's Name, Father's Name and Date of Birth must match the Matriculation/SSLC and service records. Changes after submission will not be accepted.
- A valid mobile number and email ID must be maintained throughout the recruitment process. Important communication will be sent through SMS/email.
- Applications may be rejected due to an incomplete application, incorrect qualification, overage, invalid photograph, incorrect signature or missing Immediate Supervisor's certification PDF.
- SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates must produce the required original caste/OBC-NCL certificates at Document Verification. Otherwise, candidature may be considered under the UR category, if eligible.
- No separate EWS reservation is available under this recruitment.
- Electronic gadgets, wallets, belts and metallic items are not allowed inside the examination hall.
- Unfair means or impersonation may lead to lifetime debarment from RRB/RRC examinations and legal action.
